You Can Have A Traumatic Brain Injury Without Having A Fractured Skull

Latest Articles

We have learned a lot over the past 25 years while representing clients with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). One important thing we learned, that is a common misconception, is that you don’t have to have a fractured skull to have a valid TBI case.

People often think that it takes a lot to cause a TBI, but truthfully you can cause brain injury with a lot less force than it takes to cause a fractured skull. Oftentimes after an accident a client will begin having issues with memory loss, cognitive decline, and trouble coming up with common words. The last thing they think it could be is a TBI because they had a MRI or scan done after the accident and it didn’t show any fractures or hematoma. Once they go back to the doctor and discuss these new symptoms they soon discover they do in fact have a TBI.

If you have any questions regarding a Florida accident of any kind and whether or not that accident may have caused a brain injury, please reach out to us. Please call us at 407-565-7386 or text us at 407-644-4444. We are always happy to offer a no obligation, free consultation to discuss your case with you.
