Here are three things that you should expect every time you work with a personal injury law firm.

The first thing that you should expect is an honest appraisal of your case. Now, this doesn’t mean that your lawyer’s not going to be a big advocate for you, or an aggressive or zealous advocate for you against the other driver’s insurance company, but what it does mean is that you need to know the strengths and weaknesses of your case so you can understand what you’re facing when you have to make a decision about settling your case.

The second thing that you should expect from any personal injury law firm is access to your lawyer. If you’re meeting your lawyer for the first time as you walk into a mediation or a trial, how can that lawyer possibly know anything about you and your case?

The third thing you should expect from a personal injury law firm is that someone has taken the time to get to know you and understands the impact that your injuries have had on your life. How can somebody make a settlement demand or decide to advise you to settle or not settle your case without knowing anything about you or how your accident has affected your life, your family, your work, and so on? Being able to make those kinds of assessments means that somebody, and it should be the attorney, has taken some time to get to know you, to talk to you, maybe talk to your family members, friends, coworkers, and find out the real impact that your injuries have had on your life.
